Jeff Brown

Executive Director

Jeff brings over 32 years of experience from multiple corners of the healthcare and senior living industries. He’s a proven leader with a strong resident focus, and he comes to the community eager to partner with residents and families to bring about desired improvements, as well as further elevate our standards for hospitality and service. Outside the community, Jeff is a weekend gardener, scuba diver, old movie buff, and a scholar with no fewer than three advanced degrees.

Kathy Vollenweider

Director of Recreation & Events

Kathy was born into a military and settled in Kansas City after her senior year in college. She has more than 20 years of customer service experience in such industries as aviation, marketing, education, and senior living. She is truly passionate about helping our residents live richer, fuller and happier lives.

Stephanie Warren

Senior Lifestyle Counselor

Stephanie is a proven leader and 30-year professional whose career spans multiple disciplines. She earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Education from Wichita State University and a Masters in Communication from Central Missouri State before moving to Los Angeles, where she spent 23 years working in the film industry, real estate, sales and marketing roles, and leading the Calabasas Chamber of Commerce for 8 years.

Her mother’s declining health brought her back to Wichita in 2012, and there began a journey which gave Stephanie a unique knowledge and understanding of how seniors and families must utilize available resources to navigate these often-challenging lifestyle transitions.

Following her own experiences, Stephanie worked with seniors and families at two, Wichita-based communities before returning to her beloved Kansas City, and today, is as dedicated as ever while helping area seniors realize the many joys of maintenance-free
living here at The Welstone.

Brandt Levinson

Director of Culinary Services

Brandt was born and raised in St. Louis, Missouri and has a B.A. in History from St. Louis University, and an AOS in Culinary Arts from the Culinary Institute of America. He earned his Certified Dietary Manager certification from the University of Florida. He has 20 years’ experience in the food service industry beginning as the Director of Dining Services for Bethesda Senior Living and the Patient Services Manager at St. Luke’s Hospital. Brandt truly enjoys cooking and serving the residents at The Welstone with his team.
